About Me

I am very excited to have the opportunity to spend time with your child/children and to help them learn and grow through our program at Soulshine.

I have completed all the EEC courses and I am a licensed family caregiver by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. I am also certified in first aid and CPR through the Red Cross.

I have been a resident of Norwood my whole life and for as long as I can remember, I have loved children. As a teen, I took the babysitting course offered at our local library and began my career at age 13. I sent out flyers and in no time had my first few babysitting jobs. I spent the next 5 years babysitting for numerous families and became a full-time nanny while also pursuing my college degree. I graduated from Bridgewater State College with a bachelor’s degree in psychology.

Upon graduation, I was hired as an assistant teacher at The May Center, a school for autistic children. Although it was a great job, I returned to my former position and stayed with that family for the next 6 years. I spent the next 14 years being a full-time nanny for several different families.

Through the years, I have learned so much about caring for young children, (including several special needs children) and I have worked with many great families that I still keep in touch with.

I take great pride in what I do. I love watching children grow and gain new skills through each stage of their development and I love seeing the world through their eyes.

Health & Safety

Health & Safety

Your child's well-being is my highest priority!  My illness policy is designed to keep your family healthy while the EEC has a number of licensing standards related to the safety in a Family Child Care Home that I strictly adhere to.

Most of these standards outline common safety precautions such as making dangerous materials inaccessible to children, covering outlets, having a first aid kit, practicing evacuation drills, gating stairs, windows, or heating elements, posting emergency numbers, and maintaining a clean, hazard-free indoor space.

In addition, the outdoor space must be safe and hazard free. This includes children not having access to a busy street, water, construction materials, rusty or broken play materials, debris, glass, or peeling paint.
